Notice of the amendments of the current bylaws with the attached proposed bylaw amendment language for the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Bylaws to be considered by the delegates to the NACTA Conference in the annual meeting on June 24, 2021, during the virtual conference business session in the Zoom Webinar space is hereby given.

As per NACTA bylaws, amendments can be proposed by either the Executive Committee or any five members NACTA members a minimum of 30 days prior to the annual business meeting. The proposed bylaws amendments were reviewed by the NACTA Executive Committee in consultation with the appointed NACTA Parliamentarian, Daniel D. Foster, professional registered parliamentarian, National Association of Parliamentarians. 

The proposed bylaws amendments shall be posted to the NACTA website for at least 15 days prior to the annual meeting. A Bylaws Forum will be conducted as part of the Annual Conference on Tuesday, June 22. The vote required for adoption is a minimum affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members voting at the annual business meeting on June 24.

Each proposed bylaw amendment can be amended during the business session within the scope of the notice. Amendments to the proposed bylaws amendments will require a majority vote to pass.
