One of the standout experiences of the annual NACTA meeting is always the lineup of local agricultural tours. This year we are excited to offer attendees five options sure to enrich, educate and illuminate on the local research, machinery, meat production and business that are the life force of the agricultural industry in the area. Each of these excursions will be offered on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 22.
2022 Tours Lineup
Mechanics and Mingle*
Participants will tour local agricultural equipment manufacturers to see the production of specialty machinery for small farmers and Amish farmers. The final stop of the tour will include Minglewood Distilling Company. The distillery is a historic coal and icehouse that was refurbished into a home for the production and tasting of craft spirits made with local ingredients.
Nature Lovers Retreat*
Participants will travel to Cuyahoga Valley National Park (approximately 1 hour) to explore the great outdoors. Educators will highlight the natural landscapes around the park, discuss the Cuyahoga River Restoration Project, and guide participants in exploring the park’s resources.
