In these first few months with the volunteers, leadership and membership of NACTA, we have already met some truly wonderful and passionate people. The JulNet team officially transitioned into the administrative support role for the association on September 1 and have hit the ground running. And moving quickly has been necessary to keep up with the myriad ongoing and current activities in this robust association! The transition from old guard to new has been filled with challenges that we are eager and excited to take on as a team.

A little bit about the JulNet Team
JulNet Solutions supports a wide variety of associations, small businesses and other entrepreneurial projects with administrative, membership management, conference and marketing projects. Julie Hewett, owner of JulNet Solutions, is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Management. She has well over 30 years of office management experience working with small organizations in the services and manufacturing industries. This broad work experience allowed Julie to develop JulNet Solutions, offering management support services to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and eventually professional non-profit associations.
In her 23 years of ownership of JulNet Solutions, Julie has worked with a number of non-profit associations; especially those in medical and secondary education. In 2006, Julie earned the certification of “Certified Meeting Professional” and in 2017 she earned the certification of “Certified Association Executive,” the highest certification in the field of non-profit management.

Members of NACTA who reach out for support by phone or email will first speak to Claire Perkins. Hailing from Greenbrier County, WV, Claire grew up on the state's first organic dairy farm. She will be completing her undergraduate studies with a double major in Economics and Finance in December 2019 and will earn her MBA from Marshall University in December 2020. Claire has three cats, Mr. Riggs, Beatrice and Margo, and will happily give you an update on any of them if you ask.

Currently completing a degree in Accountancy, Danielle Inscoe has taken on the role of Financial Manager at JulNet as well as board support for NACTA. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and French from Marshall University and is currently pursuing her Associate’s degree in Accounting. Danielle is a very slow runner, but her dog, Bones, is even slower. She and Bones live in Huntington, West Virginia and enjoy nights on the couch with Netflix and coffee.

Elizabeth Davidson serves as the new Editorial Assistant for the NACTA Journal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing. Prior to joining Julnet, she freelanced as a grant writer, social media manager, technical writer, and fact-checker. In her free time, she writes creative nonfiction and poetry, and has been published in a number of literary journals.

Cassie Chinn will now serve as the Communications Director for NACTA. Before becoming a member of the JulNet team, Cassie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Master’s degree in Journalism from Marshall University. She steps into this new role with almost fifteen years of experience as a graphic designer in commercial advertising. Her work has been published across the globe for both regional and national groups. In her free time, Cassie is a decorated ultra-marathon runner, soon-to-be running coach and new mom. She loves to travel and explore new cities, preferably on foot in a pair of running shoes with a finisher medal at the end.

Tabby Locascio holds a Bachelor’s in History and German as well as a Master’s in History and Public History. She recently joined the team as a Program Manager and to coordinate all website management. Tabby is no stranger to academia, having presented her own work at academic conferences in the past. Outside of the office, Tabby makes glass beads, participates in medieval re-enactments, researches and writes on local history for the Clio academic app.

Amoritia Hewett began with the JulNet team in 2011 as a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 2015 she completed FSAE’s Qualified Association Specialist program (QAS) and is currently studying to sit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam in 2020. She now serves as Conference Logistics for JulNet and NACTA when necessary. Amoritia loves to knit and cross stitch, travel, and dress her two-year-old son up like a tiny dinosaur.

Rachel Hewett joined the team officially in 2017 but has been informally assisting JulNet Solutions since she was able to stuff registration packets. She is the exhibit manager and social media manager for NACTA and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in biology at Marshall University. She is an officer of the Gamma Eta chapter of the professional chemistry fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. Her special skills include Game of Thrones trivia knowledge, knowing nerdy science jokes and running from one end of a conference center to the other at lightning speed.
