2018 Call for Abstracts Deadline
Only 44 days left to submit abstracts for the 2018 NACTA Conference at Iowa State University, Ames, IA., June 12-15. Submission deadline is February 1st. The 2018 NACTA Conference at Iowa State University, June 12 – 15, will serve as a venue for faculty and graduate students in agricultural, environmental, natural, and life sciences to share their scholarship of teaching, innovative teaching and advising ideas, and other relevant teaching and learning information through the theme of "Grow Your Adventure.” Abstracts for the 2018 NACTA Conference are to fall within one of the four following topic areas:
- Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)
- Innovative Teaching Approaches
- Other Educational Topics
- Communicating the Value of Science

NACTA Teaching Awards Nominations Deadline
Please consider nominations for the NACTA Teaching Awards. These are due February 1, 2018. Details are here: NACTA Teaching Awards NACTA seeks to inspire achievement at the highest levels of excellence. Recognizing and honoring individuals whose efforts represent the very best in the teaching of agriculture, environmental, natural or life sciences at the post-secondary level is one of the central purposes of NACTA. At the same time, NACTA seeks to encourage these colleagues to share with us their methods of achieving excellence. NACTA has created a new institutional membership category for 2-year colleges. Two-year colleges will pay $150 per year for an institutional membership which can now include two additional individuals. This is a savings of $100 over the purchase of individual memberships.
