These amended and revised Bylaws have been adopted as the bylaws of the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture on this 22nd day of June, 2022 and shall be effective as of said date.  These Bylaws supersede and replace the NACTA Constitution and Bylaws approved June 2021. 

Amending the Bylaws.

Bylaw amendments maybe proposed by NACTA members with a minimum of 5 endorsing member signatures and it being presented in writing to the secretary/treasurer at least 30 days prior to the annual conference.

Standing Rules.

The standing rules of the organization are currently in development with NACTA Leadership. Standing rules may be adopted with a majority vote and amended with a two-thirds vote or a majority vote if notice has been given.

Parliamentary Assistance

The NACTA parliamentarian is appointed annually by the incoming president with a one-year term. The parliamentarian serves at the pleasure of the presiding officer, but is also available to assist any member in interpreting and applying the rules of the organization and the parliamentary authority of the organization (Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised, 12th edition).

Our Current Parliamentarian is Dr. Daniel D. Foster. Dr. Foster is professional registered parliamentarian and a faculty member in the college of agricultural sciences at The Pennsylvania State University.
