The project, "101" lndependent Projects for Applied Microbiology, was designed to help students utilize applied microbiology skills by conducting individual research projects. The objectives of this project were to develop approaches and facilities to meet the needs of the student and to provide an educational benefit to students wishing to understand the role of microbes in natural environments.
