Abstract:

Safety instruction in agricultural mechanics laboratories has received considerable emphasis in the last 25 years. In the late 1960's and early 1970's most states in the U.S. passed laws or acts related to wearing Industrial Quality Eye Protection in school laboratories. In 1968 the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) established standards for Industrial Quality Eye Protection. In 1979 these standards were revised and have become the standard for most state laws or acts.
