Abstract:
The formalized teaching-learning process is one of civilization's vital elements and one of the most fundamental to its survival. This is the route by which a rapidly growing body of theoretical principals, practical knowledge, and cultural heritage is transmitted from generation to generation. To be entrusted with the guardianship of a segment of that process is one of society's highest callings. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be involved in teaching undergraduates at a college or university need bow to no one when it comes to social significance of our efforts.
