Drawing on a qualitative meta-analysis framework, a three-year, three-phase qualitative meta-analysis was conducted to synthesize and summarize three data sets investigating issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in undergraduate and graduate student populations at a College of Agriculture at a mid-Atlantic land grant institution. The comprehensive and concise findings have been aggregated to uncover essential elements, similarities, and differences among the data sets. The analysis integrated findings from the three data sets to give a more substantive view of the student data. Three themes emerged: 1) discriminatory behavior from students and faculty, 2) college environment, and 3) suggestions from students. Results showed similarities and differences between the two student groups and both groups had a plethora of suggestions for the college to consider. Recommendations include steps the college can take to build an inclusive and welcoming environment in their college by involving multiple stakeholders in a culturally responsive way to glean input from as many groups as possible to advance the field of agriculture. Since the data was collected, the college has implemented numerous efforts including mandatory curriculum for both groups of students and optional workshops for faculty.
