The Farm Credit Fellows program at North Dakota State University educates students interested in agricultural lending. The program combines classroom instruction with off-campus experiences provided by three Farm Credit System associations. Program participants develop financial knowledge and credit analysis skills through experiential learning. A survey distributed to five cohorts of Farm Credit Fellows program participants indicated that 94% of survey respondents were extremely satisfied with their program experience. Program participants also improved their performance on an agricultural finance assessment during the program and performed better on the assessment than students in related courses.
