Abstract:

A relational database management program is used to manage sirmrlated futures trading in an upper-level, undergraduate, agricultural economics course on the Economics of Futures Markets. The features of the simulator are described and methods for integrating the simulator with the course content are explained. Evaluative questionnaire items and resulting data are used to demonstrate the evaluation of the simulator which was found to be beneficial.
